And to make sure of it, our new Epic features a completely re-designed frame, geometry, and a totally new Brain rear shock that's engineered to read the terrain for the most efficient ride possible, making it the fastest XC bike on the planet.

The optimized carbon layup creates an impeccable fit and ride experience, a super light overall weight (up to 39% lighter than prior iterations), and a stiffness-to-weight ratio that'll have you hammering through the course like nobody's business.

XC GEOMETRY FOR THE MODERN AGE

We made a geometry for today's XC courses, which are bigger and badder than ever. This means that we increased the reach to make for a longer, more stable front end. And to keep your position consistent and your handling quick, we shortened the stem length. The head angle, meanwhile, was slacked out by 1.5 degrees for even more stability and better handling.

BRAIN 2.0

The new Brain has been moved closer to the axle (moment of inertia), which makes for a smarter, more responsive system. Oil porting and flow paths have also been reengineered to reduce oil turbulence and to provide more consistent damping. And our suspension team also addressed hose fitting, so you can say good bye to frame rub issues.
